Kat Von D released this mini everlasting liquid lipsticks duo set at Sephora. I was curious to try the Lolita II that is limited to this set only. After trying it out, I really hope she can release this Lolita II shade as a permanent full size product. I love it so much more than the now Lolita I. I still have the original Lolita I in full size, and the color is so much prettier than the now Lolita I. When swatched side by side, Lolita I is much darker and has more pinky brown tone. Whereas Lolita II is a warmer peachy terra-cotta shade that is flattering on everyone, and perfect for the Fall. So if she's going to make this permanent, she better make it happen NOW!

Below is a comparison of the original Lolita I on the far right side. Lolita II is the middle shade here. The original Lolita I is much more pink and softer than the new Lolita I which is almost purplish and grey.
I'm really not a fan of the newer Lolita I because it's so much more dull compared to the old original color. However, I love Lolita II, but my tube's stopper doesn't work, and I got tons of excessive product gushing out of the tube that I had to return this set. Like I said, I'm just going to wait until she release Lolita II as a permanent shade so I can get a full sized one.
Update: I purchased the full sized Lolita II as soon as it's released on Sephora.com. It's so pretty, and I realized the formula is not as long wearing as it used to be. Not sure what happened, but I still love the shade and how comfortable it's on the lips.
I purchased these holiday limited edition sets from the stilacosmetics website, but I believe they are also available for purchase from Sephora and Ulta. With only the mascara on one eye, and it really doesn't do much for my lashes except for adding some darker colors. It's somewhat lengthening but definitely not extreme like it claimed whatsoever. I don't like it, and the formula is semi wet. The brush has slight hourglass shape similar to the Too Faced better than sex mascara but a little smaller and skinnier.
It does adds a little bit length and gives good separation.
However, it's weak compared to other mascaras, even some of the drugstore ones.
I feel like the eye with the primer alone even looks better and more opened than the eye wearing the mascara alone.
Putting them together for the test
Layering the mascara on top of the primer. I let the primer dry for a while before applying the mascara, but it's unnecessary because the lash primer is on the much drier side. My lashes almost felt crunchy as I was layering the mascara which I didn't like. I did love the finishing result from using this combo. As you can see the primer really held my curls, and the mascara didn't weigh them down. My lashes looked a bit thicker, much longer, and my eyes looked much wider/brighter.
The combo side looks darker and slightly thicker than the side with no primer.
I was overall shocked by how well they held my curls all day long, and I experienced no flaking/smudging. The fact that the mascara doesn't get clumpy and provides nice separation makes my lashes look super natural. It's almost like #iwokeuplikethis :D
See the difference! Crazy! I didn't wear any eye makeup in this picture. Just plain mascara and primer! I was really happy with the result, but saddened by the fact that I have to use these two together in order to achieve this wide eyed look. I've tried drugstore mascaras with no primers that can do the same thing. Besides, my Dior lash primer serum works the best and it conditions my lashes with every use. I would rather splurge on that one primer, and stick with any kinds of mascaras whether it's drugstore or mid end to give me the same result. I don't dislike the Stila lash primer though. It's a bit drying, and I'm used to coating my white primer colored lashes, but I might get a full size of this if I don't feel like splurging on the Dior lash primer.

It's not so much of a deeper red, but more cooler toned than Beso.
Stila stay all day liquid lipsticks all have creamy, thicker, velvety textures which dry completely matte. They do stay on all day through eating and drinking. I don't have problem with them once they dry, and they go on very forgiving especially for my dry/chapped/flaky lips. They eventually wear off a little bit in the center if you eat something really oily, but that's common with most lipsticks. They are easy to reapply and layer. They are just one of my top and favorite liquid lipsticks. Lots of colors to choose from, and getting smaller sizes with more color options in these sets are much better than just purchasing one full sized lip color. That's just my opinion, and you can always get a full sized one if you end up really liking the color except two colors from each set are not in their permanent line so that might be a problem. If I find any color dupes, I will come back to update here. Otherwise, I think these sets are awesome to grab!
