Mellow Cosmetics Lipstick and lip paints

After watching Shaaanxo's review and swatch video of the Mellow cosmetics' matte lipstick and liquid lip paint, I decided to give this brand a try, and I was not disappointed. This company is based and developed in New Zealand, but manufactured in China. Free shipping to US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand when you purchase over $40. They do have other makeup products for face and eyes as well. I'm in love with this brand's lipstick and liquid lipstick. I used her coupon code and saved a bunch, but it's expired by now. I remember seeing Mellow cosmetics featured in Ipsy glam bags as well, so maybe Ipsy offers coupon code for this makeup brand. Ipsy May glam bag included two shades from Mellow's matte lipstick line, but I didn't get one. I am glad that I got one to try for myself, and I like the formula of it. The ultra matte lipstick ($13USD)comes in a bullet packaging that looks the same as a MAC lipstick, except that the Mellow lipstick has a beige and gold finish instead of black and silver. I think it's quite sleek and chic but classic and sophisticated. The formula is a super matte finish but soft and velvet on the lips. Not much tugging while applying, and remains comfortable on the lips throughout the day. It has a perfume type of vanilla scent which is not that great, but not very noticeable once on the lips. I got the shade Nude, and it's a pinky mauve color that will look nice on everyone. The matte liquid lip paints($14USD) are awesome! I got three shades to try. Two of them because of their names which I explained in my video review, and one because the shade was beautiful. All the colors are very beautiful and wearable from this line. They have a decent shade selection, but what impresses me the most is the formula of their liquid lipstick. It does dry completely matte, and yet goes on silky smooth. It's on the liquid side in terms of formula wise. It is not 100% transfer proof so maybe that's why it's a little bit more long wearing than some of the other ones on the market.  I don't really mind with the little transferring because longevity in a liquid lipstick is more important. It stays on very comfortable and weightless throughout the entire day. I don't have to retouch unless I eat something super greasy. I've sat through a lunch with dim sum and oily stir fried noodles, the lipstick still remained intact. I only had to retouch it after eating a hotpot meal, and if you ever had hotpot, you will know the amount of oil and greasy involved in the food/dipping sauce. I am blown away by this liquid lipstick, and I absolutely love the colors I picked up! Tehran is my favorite nude, and it's perfect. Shanghai is a little bit darker, and New York is a gorgeous wine shade. I will definitely recommend these to anyone out there looking for a comfortable and long wearing matte liquid lipstick as well as regular matte lipstick. These are priced at a middle price range comparing to KVD/JS/Stila. I think they are totally worth their prices, and make sure to follow them on social media in case a sale happens.

Nude - pinky mauve

Shanghai - mid tone brownish nude

This lip paint does transfer a little bit, but it's pretty long wearing and very comfortable!

Guess I didn't shake/mix this one enough because you can see the oil and pigments separation here in my swatch.
Tehran - soft brownish nude *my favorite nude*
This color stays on my lips the longest, and the color wears off nicely since it's like my lips but better type of shade.

New York - classic berry wine color

1st try after eating really oily Thai food.
2nd try after eating pho.

Black Radiance limited edition Argon Oil Tinted Balms

I saw these at my local Rite Aid out of a whim. They were displayed as limited edition with three shades in total. I picked up the following two because the third one is a pale nude color which probably won't give me much color. These are $2.99 each! They reminded me a lot of the Wet n' Wild lip tint crayons that I love. Same price, but these are supposed to be infused with argan oil, and tinted lip balms. I knew the colors would be somewhat sheer because that's what tinted balm is. Hence, these don't leave a stain behind, and do wear off pretty fast so be prepared to re-apply more often. I don't mind because they feel so comfortable. I usually like Black Radiance products a lot because they are cruelty-free, drugstore affordable price, and very similar to Wet n' Wild but geared toward deeper skin toned consumers. I don't discriminate especially when it comes to cosmetics. I mean I get gravitate towards brands like IMAN, Black Radiance, Black Opal, and etc more because I assume these brands have more pigmented makeup products. With intense pigmented makeup products, you can always use a light hand and sheer them out so they can work equally as beautiful on lighter skin tones. Anyways, long story short, I freaking love this tinted balm! For the price and the quality, you just can't beat it. They are on the sheer side, but they are buildable to a richer color pay-off. They have a slight fruity scent, and the texture is a little bit slick. Not greasy, but it's infused with argan oil. Therefore, they have a bit of that slick feeling, but I feel like they make my lips super smooth and soft. I'm comparing this to some higher end tinted lip balms such as Benefit bene balm and Sugar tinted lip balms. Benefit bene balm is on the greasier side, and Sugar tinted lip balms can feel a bit waxy at times. None of them gave me instant smoothness and hydration like this BR one did. Also, this costs only a fraction of the price of those two. Not sure if Wet n' Wild will come up with something similar like this. Maybe they are from the same mother company/manufacture? Either way, I hope these are not limited editions because I really like them. I haven't seen them anywhere else, but if I do, I will definitely pick up some backups:)

Pink the Town - sheer berry pink

Ladylike - sheer deep red

Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Doll Parts

I decided to purchase another liquid lipstick from Jeffree Star Cosmetics when they restocked and launched some shades on Beautylish. Doll Parts was originally a limited edition shade which released during last year's Christmas. Due to it's popularity, Jeffree Star decided to bring it back into his permanent line! Yes! After watching his recent lip swatching video of his new 2016 products, I decided to grab this color because it looked beautiful on him(really fair skin) as well as his then music manager(caramel skin). I wanted to get Gemini, a new shade, but it's sold out when I was placing the order. I'm sure it will be restocked soon. There are few other new shades which I'm excited to try as well. I do love this formula, and it's applicator is the best on the market. I still enjoy Celebrity Skin very much, but now I'm so happy that I have one more in my JSC Velour Liquid Lipstick collection. I'm building it slowly but surely:)

I honestly think Jeffree Star Cosmetics' liquid lipstick has the best applicator ever! It really just feels like a velvet teddy bear and it hugs the lips.

After eating dinner, and I had some pan fried dumplings as well as other semi-oily food. Most of the lip color still remained, and the best part is that this one left a beautiful soft pink stain behind! I think I found the perfect pink lip color for me^__^
