New Dove Advanced Care Anti-perspirant Deodorant Stick

I have been using the new Dove advanced care antiperspirant deodorant stick ever since I received it from the Influenster Dove VoxBox. The retail price for this is about $6.99 depends on where you purchase it. I don't remember if I've ever tried Dove deodorant sticks, but I've always been a huge fan of Ban deodorant because of it's price and the commercial. Yes, the biggest reason for me to keep using Ban started from their awesome commercial:) I also find it controls my underarm sweat better. Another thing is that Ban smells fresh and not heavy scented unlike some other brands out there such as Secret. However, Ban deodorant has raised it's price recently from the drugstores so I only buy it whenever it's on sale for $2.99. Also, the last one I had broke and crumbled:( Tell you the truth, I was skeptical at first with Dove's new deodorant stick. It claims to condition and nourishing your underarm since frequent shaving takes away layer of skin. I never really thought about how we don't usually put lotion there because we are so used to put deodorant on our underarms. I realized that I've been neglecting my under armpits. I shave my armpits quite often in the shower, maybe twice or three times a week. I have quite a bit of uneven skin tone/discoloration there. I know some people bleach their armpits but I don't think I would go that route. I decided maybe this Dove stick would help. Ever since I started using it about two weeks ago, I've noticed much smoother texture in my underarm skin. I feel like I'm protecting my armpits from sweating but at the same time really conditioning them as well. Another great thing I've noticed is that my armpits have lightened from using this. Now I have a much even skin tone in my underarm areas, and I can see less shaving bumps! I think this deodorant stick really performs what it claims. I am also glad that I received the original scent which is a nice powdery fresh scent. Of course, there are plenty of other scents to choose from. I'm sure if you have concerns with underarm odor, this can help eliminate that as well. Overall, I really like this new Dove advanced care antiperspirant deodorant stick, and I will no longer be embarrassed to raise my arms:)

Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask Shine Away Review

I received this full size Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask for review from Influenster's J'Adore VoxBox. I previously purchased something very similar to this by Boots from Target, and after using both, I wanted to share my thoughts on this mask with you.

The original Boots refining clay mask I purchased from Target is also a muddy green colored clay mask that supposed to draws out impurity and detoxify your skin. To use this mask, you have to give it a good shake first to mix up the liquid consistency from the tube. Same thing with this ionic clay mask. I usually find mud mask quite thick, so it's interesting that this particular clay mask is more liquidy than most. I like this new ionic clay mask as well as the other one. I don't really find any differences between the two except that the other one smells really bad after it starts to dry on the face. This one, does not stink so I am really happy about that. I've used twice so far, and I've noticed that after using this ionic clay mask, my skin is a little brighter and smoother. Once it dries on your face, it feels tight and turns to a lighter green color so you know that it's time to wash this off. I find it better to use it before shower since the water does turn muddy from rinsing off the clay. It's very easy to rinse this mask off so you don't have to worry about spending a lot of time cleaning it off of your face. I just find it's easier and less messy to rinse off in the shower. It does not suck out the blackhead/impurities from my skin as well as the stinky clay mask. I'm not sure if that one is discontinued since I bought it on clearance from Target, and I think this is the newer version. They both contain willowbark and it supposed to clarify your skin. I think this ionic clay mask also reduce shine from your skin. I have combo-oily skin but drier in the cheek area during winter time. After using this mask twice, I noticed that my cheeks just below my under eye area got really dry and patchy. Perhaps I will only use this on my T-zone from now on, but if you have very oily skin, this might just help sustain the shine/oiliness. Another thing that bothers me with this mask is that, my blackheads seem to come back really quickly and more noticeable after using it. I think I have same problem with the other one as well. Besides these issues, this is a decent clay mask that can control oil and freshen up your skin under 5 minutes. The retail price on this clay mask is around $8.99-$9.99 depends on where you purchase it.
