Smashbox Liquid Lipstick in Out Loud

New Smashbox Always On Liquid Lipstick retails for $24, and contains 0.13fl.oz product. You can purchase this at Sephora, Smashbox.com, Macys, and maybe Ulta as well.

What it is:
An eight-hour wear, liquid-matte lipstick with a featherweight, comfortable formula that stays put and keeps color looking as fresh and flawless as the first swipe.

What it does:
Perfected on-set in Smashbox’s L.A. photo studio, Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick leaves lips with ultra-lightweight, but bold color. This liquid-matte formula is infused with the lip-smoothing Smashbox Primer Oil complex for suede-soft lip color in an array of gorgeous, highly pigmented shades. The precision tip applicator lines and fills with one swipe of the no-drop reservoir, while Advanced Polymer Technology makes lip color stay put and look fresh and flawless for up to eight hours for smudge-proof, budge-proof, and non-feathering, carefree wear.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates

What else you need to know:
Bawse is a collaboration between famed YouTube megastar Lilly Singh and Smashbox. Singh inspires us to be our most empowered, beautiful selves. Smashbox embodied her bold spirit into every swipe of her signature matte red shade.

Studio tip: "With a bold lip, a lighter lip line makes your pout appear fuller. Use Smashbox BB Cream Eyes to line around the edges and cupid’s bow for a precise pop or quick touch-up."—Lori Taylor Davis, Global Pro Lead Artist

At least it's not 24 hours claim, so I'm ok with the honest 8-hour long wearing time. It actually can last longer if you don't eat too much oily food. I've sat through a dinner at my friend's eating rice and beans, avocado slices, and fried chicken. Most of the lip color still remained except for the center parts of my lips.

It's pretty much as it claims as an always on liquid lipstick, well, at least majority of the time:)

I'm not a fan of any type of twistable packaging that's in a rectangular/square shape because it kind of hurts my hand/fingers as I twist open it. Aside from that, this packaging is quite straightforward and sleek. I like the matte black finish on the cap. The clear and thick acrylic bottom portion allows you to see the color of the product right off the bat.

I love this applicator! It's diamond shaped with a point end so it provides great precision. The little hole in the middle collects just enough product for you to apply all over your lips without double dip into the container. We all know the rule about double dipping, right? :DDD The applicator is also soft and has a little bit flexibility in it so you have good control while using it.

This is a gorgeous burnt orange color! It has a hint of brown in it which makes it very unique and different from all the other burnt orange colors I have in my collection. I will have a separate blog dedicate to all of my burnt orange colored lipsticks/liquid lipsticks. That way, you can kind of see the different tones in each one of them, but this is by far my favorite one!
After this dried down, it became completely matte, but not 100% transfer-proof. You will see this transfer onto food and cups. Very minimum transfer though!
I absolutely love this color, and will pick up more shades once Smashbox has some kind of sale:D They are pretty pricey, you know. I posted this on my instagram as one of the month long #selfiewithlipswatch project, and a lot of people loved it. My childhood friend even commented about how it's very flattering on me. I love this kind of burnt orange shade, and this one in particular just looks very nice on me:) But, I think this kind of color looks awesome on everyone!

After I ate lunch, and color still remained. The worn part wasn't super noticeable so that's nice.
After eating, most color remained, but only wore off a little bit in the center of the lips. However, the dry and flaky parts of my lips were more noticeable. My lips didn't feel super dry, but not hydrated, either. I didn't feel the need of licking my lips or anything, but it's not as super comfortable as I initially applied it.

Kat Von D Serpentina Eyeshadow Palette

Kat Von D's new Serpentina Eyeshadow palette retails for $45 at Sephora as well as katvondbeauty.com.

What it is:
A limited-edition eye shadow palette with a gold loose pigment jar and eight rich, jeweled tones, inspired by the essence of Egypt.

What it does:
Serpentina Eyeshadow Palette captures the opulence and beauty of ancient Egypt with a versatile design—unlike any other Kat Von D palette. The configuration features eight pressed powders in matte and metallic shimmer finishes, plus a removable jar of gold loose pigment for ultimate versatility.

This signature triple-milled, high-pigment eye shadow formula delivers instant, true color payoff and silky blendability, so you can experiment with layering and mix and match finishes for a stunning dimensional look. Then, let your creativity run wild with Prophet, the gold loose pigment. From gilding lids to flecking brows, this little pot takes Serpentina to the next level. With exclusive artwork hand-drawn by Kat Von D, this palette will inspire you to channel your inner Egyptian queen to create rich, jeweled eye looks.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
- Parabens
- Sulfates
- Phthalates

What else you need to know:
"The inspiration for this palette came more from a sentiment versus an actual muse. But if I had to choose a physical representation, I'd say it's inspired by the essence of Egypt—Cleopatra to be specific. Although she's portrayed as one of the most beautiful women in history, the truth is, her most powerful qualities were her intelligence and self-creation. She was the original pioneering woman."—Kat Von D

Serpentina Eyeshadow Palette is completely free of animal-derived ingredients.

Shades and shade descriptions: Bloodmilk (matte brick red), Medusa (bronze shimmer), Ankh (matte black with gold glitter), Queen (rust glitter), Hieroglyph (copper shimmer), Nile (ocean blue shimmer), Scarab (emerald shimmer), Venom (matte royal purple), Prophet (fool's gold loose pigment).

Tonymoly BCDation Cushion

I will have a separate video and blog review of the liquid version:)
I usually get my Korean makeup products either from ebay.com or stores in Chinatown/Ktown. You can also shop on Roseroseshop.com, oo35mm.com(they have a store in Chinatown which I go to), sokoglam.com, yesstyle.com, and etc.

I love how they added one more shade to the range since Korean brands usually only carry two shades. However, this shade feels very similar to the standard second shade in normal Korean makeup. That being said, it's not much deeper/warmer than the original 02 or 23 I tried in other brands. It can also mean that the first shade in this line is probably lighter than usual. I would really love to see Korean brands expanding their foundation/bb cream/cc cream to shades that are more toward medium to tan because there are a lot of tanned complexion Southeast Asians out there. I can see that few Korean brands are coming out with different undertones such as for Neutral and Warm, but the warm ones are really not that much warmer and still on the paler side. It's time to match your foundation to the rest of your body! It's kind of scary to see people with paler face, and then in flash photography appearing to be ghost like:/ That's a big no no and so unflattering! I think maybe half or one shade lighter for the face is fine as long as you end up bronzing up the face or slightly contour a little bit. Or you can go with something that's a perfect match, and then highlight the high point of your face so it appears more 3 dimensional. Either way, Korean brands need to come out with more shades so more people can enjoy their products since the entire globe is all about Korean beauty now:)

I don't really like this air puff, and not sure if it's antibacterial. Since then, I started using either a brush or beauty blender to apply this foundation, and it's much better.
