Kat Von D Pastel Goth Limited Edition Eyeshadow Palette

I was skeptical about getting this limited edition new Kat Von D Pastel Goth eyeshadow palette because I had bad experience with the matte shadows from the Serpentina palette. However, I was wrong, and I ended up loving this palette. It retails for $38 which is a great price for 8 all matte eyeshadows. I just went on the Sephora website which was where I purchased mine, and I couldn't find this anymore. It's sold out on katvondbeauty.com as well. Not sure if it's already sold out or they might bring it back later in the Spring. I think this is an awesome palette, and it should be permanent. I was actually going to get a backup of this, but looks like it's too late. I apologize for uploading this now when the palette is gone, but let's hope that this will reappear in a later time!

This is a nice sturdy cardboard packaging palette much like most of the ones Kat came out with. I love this kind of packaging because it's environmental friendly and compact. There is a mirror inside which is on the narrow side. Not that much helpful but it's there. I can do without the mirror, but that's just me. The design is very Kat like and she always puts her artwork in her makeup line, in case you can't tell. I do appreciate that she came out with a very unique eyeshadow palette. Yes, we see tons and tons of colorful eyeshadow palettes, and they are mostly very vibrant and vivid. Some pack with lots of intensities, and some lackluster. This is a different take on color shadows because these are all pastel shades. A pastel color is pretty much a toned down/watered down/softer version of a color. Sometimes you mix a color with some white base to get that pastel color. These are true to that sense. Each and every color is soft and smooth, but not lack in pigmentation. I was worried that these colors being all matte would be too sheer or chalky. The purple matte shades in previous Kat's palettes were all dry, patchy, and not pigmented. I thought these would be the same, but not so. The two purple shades in this palette are just as smooth as the rest. Most people love the shade "Clementine", and so do I. Honestly, I love all the shades in this palette. I think you can create so many different looks with just this one palette, and still look flattering because these are not the typical "in-your-face" colors. I highly recommend this palette to everyone who loves color, who wants to try color shadows but afraid to, and everyone who loves makeup in general. It's an awesome palette with great colors and good price as well as excellent performance. I had no problem blending and applying these shadows. I didn't experience any fallout. It's super easy to work with, and pretty much foolproof in my opinion. I really wish they can bring back this palette and make it permanent. It's a well rounded eyeshadow palette, and especially for the Spring.

Morphe x Kathleenlights eyeshadow palette

I can upload this now because this extremely limited edition palette is back in stock on Morphe's website! It's retailed at $14.99, and you can get 10% off using "kathleenlights" code which was what I did. It's not much, but it's better than nothing:D Below is my video review, swatches, and tutorial using this palette. I also included information from the Morphe website regarding this palette as well as close up swatches from my camera. I think the palette is great for it's price and for how much you are getting. The shades might be a bit odd or off depending on what you normally wear, but I can see many different and interesting looks being created using this palette. It's sleek and simple. It's fine for me that it doesn't have a mirror because price will go up if a mirror is included. I really don't need a mirror in every single palette. It's helpful, but it's not a necessity. Only three shades need some extra work and those three are all matte shades. They are not chalky but lack of pigmentations when compared to the rest of the shades in this palette. They are not horrible though. I had no problem blending these shadows, and they blend nicely together. I didn't notice much fall out since I tapped my brush off after dipping into each shade. However, when I was swatching them, two shades were a bit more softer and "crumblier"than the rest. The super odd sparkly green shade is extremely foiled, and I swatched it without any base/primer. It's pretty awesome. I like that mustard yellow brown weird shade because you don't see this shade everyday. I love that Kathleen threw in some of these unique shades into this palette since they are some of her favorite colors in general. Don't hold back. It's your palette, girl, so you do you! I love this palette, and I actually leave it out on my vanity along with the Bubzbeauty x BH cosmetics palette. I got these two palettes back to back, and I really love them both. They are also both very affordable! Will I be purchasing more Morphe shadows? I'm not really sure because I have tons of shadows and palettes. I think I'm pretty good just to have this one palette from Morphe because after all, Kathleen did include some of her all time favorite Morphe shadows in this palette. I feel like this is pretty well rounded and represents Morphe as a makeup brand. My only encounter with Morphe was some brushes I purchased from IMATS, and they are decent. Other than that, I'm not super crazy about this brand, but it's a really affordable brand for new makeup artists or students trying to build their kits. I would recommend this palette if you love Kathleen Lights, or you love these types of shades. You can still create everyday neutral looks using most of these shades, so don't get scared by that one shiny green color or the poopy brown color. I think it's a good palette, and that's all I'm going to say.

With colors as vivid and imaginative as Kathleen herself, this collaboration is a perfect reflection of the spirited YouTuber. It's easy to create a fun, adventurous look with this 15 color mix of mattes and shimmers. This palette is anything but ordinary. #MorpheXKathleenLights

Be by Bubzbeauty x bh cosmetics eyeshadow palette

Lindy Tsang, aka BubzBeauty on YouTube land, has collaborated with bh cosmetics on an eyeshadow palette. I have been watching Bubz for years, and I love her vlogs the most because of her son, Issac. Bubz is super cute, and her family as well as her dogs are also really adorable. I think her vlogs show a lot of pleasant daily lives that are very heartwarming. I decided to get this palette to show some love and support:) You can see my first impression, swatches, and demo in my video below. For every palette sold in the month of November, $2 will be donated to Lindy.PencilsofPromise.org to help Bubz and Pencils of Promise build three schools in Ghana! You can also show some love and support by purchase a shirt of her design as well as money donation on the website^__^
