L'Oreal Lucent Magique Cushion Lumiere Foundation spf29

I purchased this cushion compact from Watson while backpacking in Thailand. I found this in Bangkok, and was excited to try out a drugstore cushion foundation. I believe I paid around 599 baht so that's about 17 US dollars which is quite steep for a drugstore product. After I came back to New York, I found out that the drugstores here are carrying the new L'Oreal magic lumi cushion compact foundation as well. I found some at Bed, Bath, and Beyond for $15.99, but there weren't much shades to choose from because these sell out quick. I went to Ulta, and couldn't find any to my surprise:/ I will find the US version and do a comparison video soon to let you know my opinion on this. As far as the Thai version, this doesn't have much luminosity to the finish on the skin. It's more of a natural/satin finish which I like. This also has SPF29 which is probably higher than the US version. This shade in N3 Nude Miracle is definitely too light for me. I tried N4 from the US version in the store, and that seemed to match my current tan so I might just pick that one up along with a Warm undertone one to compare. The cool thing about cushion compact is that you can customize your own shades and not worry about spilling. I took my Laneige one to Hawaii and Thailand. I absolutely loved having it with me. Cushion compact cuts my makeup routine in half, and I love how the sponge applicator can work for face makeup as well as padding in concealers so I don't need brushes for neither. The best thing is that they come with spf and look very natural on the skin. The compact has mirror so it's great for doing touchups on the go. I like to mix in some darker shades of foundation I have into the sponge to customize my compact. Although this N3 shade comes off too pale for me right now, I can easily put some liquid foundation that's in a darker shade to make this more suitable for my current tan. Once you finish using a cushion compact, you can always add your own mixture of liquid foundations in the vault, and continue using it. It's easy to wash the sponge and the applicator if you want, or you can buy replacement applicator off of ebay, amazon, or asian beauty stores. Watch my review above for more details:)

Beautiful rose gold and white packaging, but the top does collect fingerprints easily.

The finish is natural/satin, and the coverage is about medium on this Thai version. I have to get the US version to try and compare. Stay tuned for updates:)
